Renovation of a municipal facility in Barnstable, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to: temporary protection of existing areas surrounding the building, removal and disposal of existing asbestos containing materials, removal and disposal of other hazardous materials, new low slope roof system, roof drains and gutters, new wall openings for ductwork, doors, and louvers, masonry cleaning, masonry replacement, all work shown on the Drawings and in the Specifications, restoration of site work and any other existing construction damaged or disturbed by construction operations, coordination and cooperation with the Owner, and providing all temporary facilities. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Labor and Materials Payment Bond and a Performance Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. A 5% Bid Bond is required. Full compliance with Federal, State and Municipal Wage Laws is required. All bidders are required to provide Certification of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) 10.4% is required. General bidders must be certified by the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) for the category of General Building Construction for General bids and Masonry, Roofing, Metal Windows, Painting for filed Sub bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility for the category, and an Update Statement. All bids for this project are subject to applicable Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149 Laws as amended, and other applicable Massachusetts General Laws. The Town of Barnstable reserves the right to waive any formalities, to reject any or all Bids or waive any formalities deemed in the best interest of the Town.
