Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Ocean City, Maryland. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Dredging of approximately 1.2 million cubic yards of sand from the offshore borrow area known as Weaver Shoals, located about 7 to 8 miles offshore, and placement of the material along roughly 8.3 miles of existing shoreline in Ocean City, Maryland. The work is intended to reconstruct the beach berm to reduce the risk of storm damage to coastal infrastructure. The project does not include work on the existing dune or seawall and will be executed under a firm-fixed-price construction contract using the Invitation for Bid process, with an estimated construction duration of 240 calendar days.
