Berm reconstruction work along the Atlantic Coast of Maryland in Ocean City, Maryland, involving restoration and rebuilding of the coastal berm to address erosion and maintain shoreline protection. Work is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds, and no contract award will be made until such funding is secured. Location: Ocean City, MD 21842 This project will consist of dredging approximately 1.2M CY of sand from an offshore borrow area and placing it along roughly 8.3 miles of existing beach. The offshore borrow area is located approximately 7- 8 miles offshore of Ocean City, MD, and is known as Weaver Shoals. The ACMD project purpose is to reduce the risk of damage to infrastructure in Ocean City, Maryland from coastal storms. This project does not include any work on the existing dune or seawall. The magnitude of construction is between $25,000,000.00 and $40,000,000.00. Construction duration is approximately 240 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
