Sealed Bids for the Borough of Orwigsburg - Market Street (SR 443) Sidewalk and Curb Replacement Project . The project involves curb, sidewalk, pavement restoration, and ADA improvements from the intersection of Market Street (SR 443) and Liberty Street to Wayne Street. The items of work for the contract are identified more specifically in the Contract Documents. The base bid and any selected alternates will be awarded to one Contractor. Contractors do not need to be PENNDOT prequalified. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Orwigsburg Borough or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety in the amount of 10% of the Total Bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. Minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid, and nondiscrimination and equal employment opportunity requirements must be met in accordance with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act. The bid is for a public works contract and the bidder is subject to the provisions of the Public Works Employment Verification Act. All submitted bids must include the Public Works Employment Verification Form. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for up to 60 days for review and investigation of qualifications, and the award of the contract may be delayed by required approval of another government agency or project funding.
