The work generally consists of removing and disposing of the existing Second Floor Festival Ballroom "Hufcor" operable panel partitions and the furnishing and installation of approximately 460 linear feet by 14'-0" high new operable panel partitions. This includes, at minimum, removal, disposal, and replacement of associated designated portions of existing damaged partition tracks and other necessary appurtenances. The contractor has the option to completely remove, dispose of, and replace the entire track assembly if a new track is required for the compatible operation of the new panels. Alternate No. 1 consists of the complete removal and disposal of the existing Operable Panel Partition Tracks and replacing them with new appropriate tracks produced by the new Panel Manufacturer. Complete sets of plans, specifications, and bid documents must be obtained from the architect's office upon deposit, with specific refund conditions. Partial sets of documents will not be issued. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. The successful contractor will be required to execute Performance and Labor, and Material Payment Bonds in the full amount of the contract. Contractors and subcontractors awarded this project will be designated as Agents for the Purchasing of Materials and/or Leasing of Equipment by the Owner and will be exempt from State and Local Sales and Use taxes for this project. Bids of $50,000.00 or more require proof of contractor licensing. Each bid must be submitted on the included Bid Form.
