Construction staking, electrical installation, removal of existing lighting units and installation of new lighting units per the installation and special provision guidelines, conduit, electrical cable, installation of other electrical appurtenances, etc. Located at: Street Lighting Series Conversion NG5-6; W. Congress to W Villard, N. 35th St. to N. Sherman Blvd. All work on this contract shall be completed by March 31, 2027. Liquidated damages are $500.00 per day per location. The residency requirement is 40% of all hours worked on the project with one quarter of these hours attributable to residents living in specified zip codes. The SBE requirement is 25% of the contract base bid and the SBE Compliance Plan (Form A) must be submitted with the bid. SBE certificates must be submitted with the Form A. Incomplete or inaccurate SBE Compliance Plans will render the bid unresponsive. The apprenticeship requirements are not applicable. Bid security required: Bond, Certified Check, Cashiers Check or Cash at 10% of the Contractors Base Bid. If using a manual Bond, an executed copy must be emailed to the Department of Public Works Contract Office by the bid due time and date, and the original must be submitted within 24 hours upon notification of being the apparent low bidder. The contractor must ensure all SBE, residency, and apprenticeship forms are properly filled out, otherwise the bid will be rejected.
