Site work and paving for a road / highway in Burlington, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consists of milling and a 10-inch hot mix asphalt (HMA) overlay at California Street - 58 Hwy South Intersection and Shetland Road - 58 Hwy North Intersection. Drawings and specifications may be examined at the County Clerk’s office in the Courthouse in Burlington, Kansas. Copies for bidding purposes may be obtained by qualified bidders at the County Engineer’s Office. Sealed bids must be received at the County Clerk’s office in the Courthouse by 2:00 p.m. on the specified date, then will be publicly opened and read aloud. Each bidder is required to include with their proposal a Bid Bond or Cashier’s Check in the amount of 5% of the bid, as Bid Security. The Bid Security will be forfeited if the successful bidder fails to execute and deliver the agreement, payment, and performance bonds within ten days of the Notice of Award. The Board of County Commissioners of Coffey County, Kansas reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities or irregularities therein.
