The project consists of restoration and rehabilitation of the historic North Park Water Tower to allow reopening of the observation deck for public use. Work generally includes structural repairs, lead paint removal and recoating of the tower structure, repairs to the observation deck and spiral stair, installation of new safety railings, replacement of entry security elements, and installation of new electrical service, lighting, and aviation obstruction lighting. The tower will not be returned to water storage service; work is limited to restoration of the structure and improvements required to reopen the observation deck.
