This project seeks information from Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Veteran Owned Small Businesses, and Small Businesses capable of performing electrical contracting services for the conversion of the North Campus Electrical Distribution System at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center from a radial configuration to a composite primary loop radial system. Work includes the addition and replacement of selected pad-mounted electrical distribution equipment and components, installation and replacement of underground medium-voltage feeders and electrical fittings, trenching and construction of new duct banks, and integration of a Kirk-key interlock system. Additional requirements include installation and replacement of current transducer fault indicators, as well as detailed project phasing, sequencing, and outage planning to minimize impacts on occupied buildings, medical center operations, and vehicular access. Comprehensive utility survey services are required to document and deliver a full utility survey report identifying the precise geographic locations and depths, where attainable, of the North Campus electrical distribution infrastructure. The utility survey report shall be submitted with the final as-built documentation. This notice is issued solely for market research to assess interest and capability of qualified businesses for a potential single firm-fixed-price contract valued between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 with an anticipated period of performance of 410 days.
