This project consists of the replacement of twelve rooftop HVAC heat pump units at two campuses within the Lynwood Unified School District, including eight units at Mark Twain Elementary School and four units at Lynwood High School – Building C. The work includes removal and disposal of existing rooftop units and installation of new rooftop heat pump units in a like-for-like configuration utilizing the existing roof curbs. Work also includes verification and preparation of existing roof curbs and supports, installation of seismic clips and attachments, and coordination with existing roof assemblies. The contract time is anticipated to be thirty calendar days. The Work is subject to the Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) between the District and the Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Trades Council. Pre-qualification requirements: Prospective bidders are required to submit online prequalification documents by registering with Quality Bidders. Bids will not be accepted if a Contractor has not been prequalified. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and must possess a valid and active C-20 Contractor’s License at the time of bid and throughout the duration of the contract. Subcontractors must also be licensed as required. Respondents who assisted in the preparation of materials or Scope of Work for the solicitation documents are not eligible to compete. Bidder’s security must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the maximum amount of bid. Contractors and subcontractors must be currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. Certified payroll records must be furnished as required. Separate payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total Contract amount, are required, along with compliance with applicable Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Programs.
