Barnstable County is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for a major exterior renovation of the historic Superior Courthouse originally constructed in 1832, located at 3195 Main Street, Barnstable Village. The project will include exterior façade updates to the original Quincy granite, wood columns, cornice, windows and trim, and includes some structural work to the brick arches in the interior basement. No major renovations have been made to the Superior Courthouse since the last addition of 1972. Additional drawings showing details in accordance with which the Work is to be done may be furnished by addendum from time to time during the bidding period by the Owner or its Architect/Engineer, and shall then become a part of the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, services, materials, equipment, plant, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, and all other things necessary to do all work required for the completion of each item of the Work and as herein specified.
