Remodeling of an educational facility in Corning, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 14,500-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.

DSA APP 02-123673 Each Bid must conform and be responsive to this invitation and the Contract Documents. Physical copies may be obtained upon a deposit of Eighty Dollars ($80) per set from the office of the Architect; Nichols, Melburg & Rossetto, 300 Knollcrest Drive, Redding, CA 96002. This deposit will be refunded in whole if the set delivered is returned in good condition, including all addenda issued, within ten (10) days after the bid opening. Additionally, contractor may request PDFs of the Contract Documents at no charge by emailing Quan Mai: mai@nmrdesign.com. Furnishing of all labor, materials, transportation, and services required for the construction of the Corning High School CTE Shop Building Remodel. Bids must conform and be responsive to the invitation and the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond made in favor of the Board of Trustees, Corning Union High School District, executed by the bidder as principal and an admitted surety company as surety. All bonds must be issued by an admitted surety, an insurance organization authorized by the Insurance Commissioner to transact business of Insurance in the State of California, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid. It is mandatory for the contractor and all subcontractors to pay not less than the general prevailing rates of per diem wages to all workers. Each contractor and subcontractor must be registered with DIR prior to submitting a bid. The District has set an overall goal for this Project that Bidders obtain a minimum 3% of their bid amount in participation by certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE), or else show good faith efforts to meet the goal. The Corning Union High School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any defect or irregularity in bidding. Pre-qualification requirements: Bidders must be pre-qualified pursuant to Public Contract Code 20651.5. The District's Pre Qualification Application must be submitted at least fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the Bid date. Pre-Qualification Applications not submitted at least fourteen (14) calendar days before the Bid date will not be reviewed or considered by the District.
