This project includes the replacement of approximately 165 lead water services at various locations throughout the Village of Brookfield, including but not necessarily limited to Grand Boulevard from Washington Avenue to 31st Street Ogden Avenue from Sunnyside Avenue to Vernon Avenue Alley North of Ogden Avenue from Sunnyside Avenue to Vernon Avenue Blanchan Avenue from 47th Street to Gerritsen Avenue Prairie Avenue from Brookfield Avenue to Monroe Avenue Maple Avenue from 31st Street to 26th Street These improvements will include the installation of Type K copper water services from the existing water main to the new curb stop (roundway complete with box) and from the new curb stop to the existing water meter located inside of the residence, and any related restoration work. Goals for minority participation 19.6% Goals for female participation 6.9% Separate sealed bids are requested for the construction of the Village of Brookfield's 2027 Lead Water Service Replacements Phase II. Bids are to be submitted to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Brookfield. The contract(s) may be funded in part by a loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. Procurement is subject to regulations contained in the Procedures for Issuing Loans from the Public Water Supply Loan Program, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, Illinois Works Jobs Program Act, and the federal Build America, Buy America Act requirements. Bidders must adhere to the loan recipient's policy regarding increased use of disadvantaged business enterprises and undertake specified affirmative efforts at least sixteen days prior to bid opening. Bidders are also required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 as explained in 41 CFR 60-4. Bidding documents are available for examination at Edwin Hancock Engineering Co. and must be obtained from them for a non-refundable fee. All bidders must be approved by the Village before obtaining bidding documents and must submit proposals on provided forms. Documents will not be issued after 4:30 P.M. on the deadline date.
