Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Brookfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.

This project will include the replacement of concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveway aprons, and drainage structures, pavement widening, replacement of certain sections of combined sewers, milling and resurfacing certain pavements, landscaping disturbed areas, and performing other related work. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in an amount not less than 5% of the total bid amount. Bidders must be prequalified with the Illinois Department of Transportation to perform at least 40% of the work's value before being issued bidding documents. Only proposals from bidders who have obtained bidding documents from the Edwin Hancock Engineering Company will be accepted. The Contractor and Subcontractor must comply with all regulations pursuant to the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and other applicable Federal laws and regulations pertaining to labor standards. The Village reserves the rights to determine the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder, to waive irregularities, and to reject any or all bid proposals. This project will consist of improvements to the following locations:27th Street from Maple Avenue to Sunnyside Avenue29th Street from Maple Avenue to Sunnyside Avenue Raymond Avenue from Southview Avenue to Lincoln Avenue Madison Avenue from Congress Park Avenue to Shields Avenue Concrete Pavement Patching throughout Village Asphalt Patching throughout Village Street Improvements The pavement on Raymond Avenue and Madison Avenue will be widened to 25' E-E and surfaced. The work to be performed will include the removal and replacement of the curb and gutter, the removal and replacement of sidewalks and driveway aprons, replacement or repair of defective drainage structures, replacement of certain sections of combined sewer, milling of the existing pavement, removal and replacement of deteriorated sections of pavement, installation of hot-mix asphalt leveling binder and surface course, restoration of disturbed sections of the parkways, and other related work. The combined sewer on Madison Avenue will be lined as part of a separate project once the underground scope is completed on this project. The pavement on 27 th Street and 29 th Street will be resurfaced. The work to be performed will include the removal and replacement of sections of curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveway aprons, milling of the existing pavement, removal and replacement of deteriorated sections of pavement, installation of hot-mix asphalt leveling binder and surface course, restoration of disturbed sections of the parkways, and other related work. Asphalt and Concrete Patching This project will also include concrete pavement and asphalt patching throughout the Village at locations outside of the limits of the streets listed above. These pavement patches are located throughout the Village. The work to be performed will include removal and replacement of curb and gutter, removal and replacement of sidewalks, driveway aprons, removal and replacement of deteriorated sections of concrete pavement, installation of hot-mix asphalt surface course, restoration of disturbed sections of parkway, and other related work.
