Sealed bids are requested for the Linda Sokol Francis Brookfield Library Partial Reclad project. Lump sum bid proposals are required. Each bid must include a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Bank Draft for at least ten percent of the bid, payable to the Board of Trustees. No bids can be withdrawn within sixty days of opening without the Owner's consent. Successful bidders are required to provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond equal to the contract amount. Bids must be submitted in a sealed, clearly marked envelope. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions of bids, or waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding as deemed in the best interest of the Library. The contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, and all laborers, workmen, and mechanics must be paid at least the prevailing rate of wages, including for legal holiday and overtime work. Bidders must complete the qualifications process described in the provided Project Manual, delivering the necessary Qualification Documents with their sealed bid. Bid documents will be available for electronic retrieval and reproduction at the contractor's expense. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held, and bidders are encouraged to review the bid documents and site conditions before this meeting. Work is expected to commence immediately after the Notice to Proceed and be substantially complete by dates outlined in the bid documents.
