The project goal is to increase street safety in community-selected target areas. The project consists of sidewalk infill, curb extensions, curb ramps, catch basin and drywell installation, and speed humps. The work includes approximately 1,500 linear feet of sidewalk, decommissioning an existing drywell, 4 curb extensions, 17 curb ramps, and 9 speed humps. Sealed bids are required and should be submitted as instructed on the City Portal. Bidders are responsible for ensuring they have all addenda before submitting bids. No faxed or emailed submissions will be accepted. Arrangements must be made in advance if submitting a hard copy bid. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, postpone the award of the contract for up to ninety days, waive informalities, and select the bid in the City's interest. Pre-qualification requirements: Bidders must be prequalified with the City of Bend at the time bids are opened. The prequalification process is administered by the Private Development Engineering Division through the CityView permit and licensing software and customer portal. New applications for prequalification must be received at least 10 business days before the bid deadline. Registration for the customer portal is required, and applicants should indicate the current bid and type of work when applying for approval. The Engineer's estimate is: $1,395,416.66 to $1,615,745.60. Location of Project: The project is split into five sub projects, located at the following locations: Site 1 - NE Revere Ave from NE 8th Street to NE Shephard Road Site 2 - SE Roosevelt Ave from SE 3rd Street to SE 5th Street Site 3 - The intersection of SE 2nd Street and SE Roosevelt Ave Site 4 - The intersection of SE 2nd Street and SE Taft Ave Site 5 - Archie Briggs Road from Star Ridge Court to Moonstone Lane Purpose of Project: The project locations were selected by the community as a part of the larger Neighborhood Street Safety Program (NSSP). The NSSP is a yearly programmatic project that aims at enhancing pedestrian, bicyclist, and motorist safety at key locations. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
