For performing the work as set forth in the specifications for the lander county railway park project - track work The principal items of work for the lander county railway park project will consist of (excluding bid alternates): construction of new railroad track facilities on union pacific property and within the interchange yard and furnishing 136# materials (no. 11 turnout with a jump frog, welded 136# rail with premium fasteners, ties, transition rails, ballast and walkway ballast - all from uprr approved suppliers) for use by the union pacific for construction on their mainline and trackage out to the clearance point, including mobilization; furnishing and installation of 112# or heavier rail track (rail, ties, ballast, walkway ballast, and other appropriately sized track materials, transition rails); installation of no. 9 htto smsg frog turnouts; installation of a type 2 sliding derail and earthen bumper; to support the track infrastructure, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. No proposals will be considered unless accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check or bid bonds in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, made payable to the lander county public works department. No proposal will be accepted from a contractor who is not licensed for this type of work in accordance with the applicable nevada revised statutes and qualified by the nevada state contractor's board prior to bidding of the job. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor irregularities in any bid or in the bidding process. No bidder may withdraw their bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Event bid date : The completed forms shall be included in the bound proposal and shall be enclosed and sealed in an envelope which is addressed to LANDER COUNTY CLERK, 50 State Route 305, Battle Mountain, Nevada 89820, and marked "LANDER COUNTY RAILWAY PARK PROJECT - TRACK WORK" Faxed Proposals will not be accepted. All bid items are to be completed within the bid schedule form. Partial submittals will not be accepted or considered.
