Sealed proposals will be received for the 2026 Annual Drainage & Concrete Work Contract, Bid Request No. 3641, located in the City of Gadsden, Alabama. Bids must be submitted to the City Clerk, either by mail or in person. Specifications and contract documents are available for public inspection at City Hall and can be obtained electronically from the City of Gadsden Engineering Department at no cost. All bidders must be registered with the City of Gadsden Engineering Department. Each bid must be accompanied by either a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a bid bond executed by a qualified surety company, in an amount equal to the lesser of five percent (5%) of the bid or ten thousand dollars ($10,000). The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance and payment bond and evidence of insurance within ten days after award notification. Bidders must comply with the requirements of the Alabama public works bid law, hold an appropriate general contractor's license, and include the current license number in the bid. Bidders must also certify compliance with anti-segregation and handicap accessibility laws. This is a tax-exempt contract, and contracting parties must affirm compliance with federal immigration law.
