Renovation of a municipal facility in Gadsden, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The work involves repair to all exterior building finishes and components, waterproofing, flashings, transitions of exterior components, miscellaneous painting, replacement of joint sealants, repair of existing damaged areas of EIFS, cleaning and sealing of cast stone components. Bidders must provide evidence of successful completion of similar projects, including Experience Modification Rate (EMR), list of successful projects, construction costs, and clients' contact information. Bids must include a bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the bid for any bid $25,000 or more, and must be submitted on Proposal Forms provided without changes in a sealed envelope bearing the contractor's name, license number, and bid bond. All bidders must comply with the Contractor's Licensing Law of the State of Alabama, be certified for the type of work, and show evidence of license before bidding. The successful bidder will provide a Performance Bond for 100% of the contract price, a Labor and Material Payment Bond for at least 50% of the contract price, a Certificate of Insurance, and proof of enrollment in the Federal E-Verify Program. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids and to award the contract to the best and most responsible bidder.
