The Contractor shall furnish all labor, insurance, equipment, materials, and power for the complete performance of the Paulding Road Lift Station & Sewer Extension project, which includes construction of a gravity sanitary sewer, submersible sewage lift station, associated manholes, and appurtenances, all in accordance with the Bidding Documents as prepared by the City Utilities Engineering Department, City of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Bids will only be received through the online bidding partner QuestCDN. No bid will be accepted from or contract awarded to any person, firm, or corporation in arrears to the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana, who has failed to execute any contract with the City satisfactorily, or who is a defaulter or engaged in litigation with the City. Bidding information must be downloaded from QuestCDN, and contractors must become Planholders to submit a bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least 60 days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. The successful bidder must provide a satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond, each not less than 100% of the contract price. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids for failure to comply with laws or instructions and may waive any defect in any bid. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Design Manager in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Design Manager in response to such questions will be issued by the issuing office (herein QuestCDN) to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than ten (10) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
