The project involves the installation of approximately 5,500 linear feet of 8-inch PVC SDR sanitary sewer pipe, 410 linear feet of 10-inch PVC SDR sanitary sewer pipe, 17 manholes, approximately 186 linear feet of trenchless crossing, cement concrete sidewalk, natural ground and gravel restoration, roadway surveying, and clearing and grubbing. All work is to be completed in accordance with the Contract plans, Contract Special Provision, Technical Specifications, and Standard Specifications. Groundwater is expected and dewatering is anticipated to be a significant construction challenge. Bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in the form of a surety bond, cash, certified check, or cashier's check, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid proposal. The successful bidder must enter into a contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications or forfeit the bid proposal deposit. Only properly executed proposals submitted on the forms furnished will be accepted. The agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, and to accept any bid deemed to be responsive in the best interest of the agency.
