Sealed bids are requested for On-Call Emergency and Non-Emergency Repair Services for Chicopee Sewer/Water Systems as needed. A 5% certified check, bond, or money order, payable to the City of Chicopee, is required as a bid deposit in the amount of five percent of the value of the bid. A 100% performance bond and a labor and materials (payment bond) in the full amount of the contract price are required from the successful bidder. Employment conditions and minimum wage rates, as set by the Massachusetts commissioner of Labor and Industries, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27F inclusive, apply to the execution of work. Attention is drawn to the instructions to bidders regarding Equal Opportunity Requirements under Executive Order NO 11246. Specifications and proposal forms can be obtained from the City Purchasing Agent. Certified and qualified Minority Business Enterprises are strongly encouraged to submit proposals. All bids must be submitted in duplicate (one original and one copy). The purchasing agent reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
