Site work, paving and addition to a playground / park / athletic field in Bluefield, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the addition of a 16,000-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.
Asphalt work for a walking track addition within City Park, in Bluefield, Virginia. This includes encompassing 3,200 linear feet, tack-coat and 2-inch surface paving on walking trails, with a 2-inch compacted depth average of surface asphalt. The main trail is to be 5 feet wide and approximately 2,600 linear feet long. There is 16,000 square feet of coating to be applied. The work includes washing and preparing the trail for coating, installation of one coat of flexible acrylic resurface, and installation of two coats of surfacing material. Base leveling as necessary is required. The product must withstand cracking or heaving and be resistant to most hostile materials. Installation and design are intended for foot and cycle traffic only. The owner will prepare the trail for 5-foot width paving and installation of stone flush with the surface level of asphalt, and will prepare subgrades to a 'ready to pave' state, compacted and proof-rolled. The installer must be certified. Instructions to bidders: Proposals must include a list of similar projects and references, a scope and time frame for completion, a proposed total price for all asphalt surfaces as well as the cost per cubic foot per material, and submittal of material specifications and quantities (materials subject to review before bid acceptance). All proposals must be sealed and clearly marked 'Walking Track Addition.' Faxed or emailed proposals will not be accepted. The City of Bluefield reserves the right to contract with a single or multiple firms for the project.
