The project consists of pavement preservation and related activities on 64th Avenue South and South James Street. This work will include full width overlays along 64th Avenue from Meeker Street to James Street and on James Street from 64th Avenue to Washington Avenue, including full depth pavement repair at several locations. This work will also include several water system improvements in the vicinity of Smith Street, James Court, and the installation of approximately 500 linear feet of 12-inch water main along James Street. The estimated range for this project is approximately $2,800,000-$3,300,000. Bids must be clearly marked with the name of the project on the outside of the envelope and addressed to the City Clerk. Only sealed bids will be accepted. No facsimiles or electronic submittals will be considered. Each bid must be in accordance with the plans and specifications now on file in the office of the City Engineer. A cashier's check, cash, or surety bond in the amount of 5% of the bid must be included. Bidders must submit with their initial bid a signed statement as to whether they have previously performed work subject to President's Executive Order No. 11246. The City of Kent reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding and shall determine the most responsive, satisfactory, and responsible bidder.
