Construction of approximately 680 linear feet of 6-inch water main along East 15th Street and Scott Street. Work includes installation of two gate valves, two tees, one 90-degree bend, and twelve water service connections. The water main will cross Scott Street and continue along the north lane of East 15th Street. All excavated material from roadway areas shall be removed and disposed of off-site. Contractor must provide proof of liability insurance coverage ($1,000,000/$2,000,000) and workmen's compensation coverage and a certificate showing City of Metropolis as a certificate holder. Contractor must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Contractor is responsible for repairing or replacing any public improvements including but not limited to curbs, gutters, streets, sidewalks. The City of Metropolis reserves the right to reject any or all bids when the public interest will be served thereby. The City reserves the right to waive any and all irregularities with respect to the bids.
