The project includes full and partial depth concrete slab replacement, joint and crack seal, spall repair, rehabilitation of pavement markings, and other miscellaneous work at Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport under the Rehabilitate RWY 14-32 Touchdown Zone and Rehabilitate Terminal Apron, Phase 2 project. The contract time is 180 consecutive calendar days. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000 per calendar day will be assessed for each day beyond the contract time, and $1,000 per 15-minute interval of runway closure past the scheduled opening. Instructions to bidders require all bidders to be properly licensed contractors in accordance with Mississippi law, holding a current Certificate of Responsibility. Bids must include this certificate number on the envelope (or as an attachment for electronic bids). Bids must be submitted on the standard form and include a bid bond for 5% of the bid amount. The successful bidder is required to provide a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond within 10 days after contract award. If submitting electronically, originals of the bid bond, signed by a Mississippi Resident Agent with Power of Attorney attached, or a certified check for 5% of the bid must be delivered within 48 hours of bid opening. Bids must be valid for 90 calendar days after bid closing. The project is subject to Davis-Bacon Act wage requirements and other federal and civil rights requirements. The authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received.
