Site work and paving for an educational facility in Big Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.

The project includes the completed installation of either asphalt or concrete pavement at designated locations on the MOISD Campus, with construction designed to accommodate bus traffic and comply with all relevant laws and regulations. The scope of work involves: - Site preparation, including removal of existing pavement or unsuitable materials, grading and compaction of the subbase, installation of drainage infrastructure as required, and obtaining all necessary local permits prior to the start of work. - Installation of pavement, with specifications for either asphalt (minimum 8-inch thick aggregate base, 2-inch asphalt base course of 13A HMA Material or equal, and 1.5-inch asphalt surface course of 5E, HMA Material or equal) or concrete (minimum 8-inch thick compacted aggregate base, 6-inch reinforced concrete slab, use of expansion joints and appropriate curing time per industry standards). - Compliance and testing, with adherence to Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and American Concrete Institute (ACI) standards, quality control testing, compliance with the site's stormwater management plan, and adherence to specific stormwater runoff and infiltration rate guidelines. - Final site work, including striping and signage installation, site clean-up and restoration (topsoil, seed, fertilizer, and mulch around the perimeter), project close-out documentation, final inspection, and provision of a warranty period for workmanship defects. Instructions to bidders include demonstrating at least five years of relevant experience, compliance with all applicable laws including ADA, ability to provide a bid bond and performance bond, and submission of valid licenses, certifications, and insurance. Proposals must include company information, project understanding and approach, cost proposal with itemized breakdown for each project area, three references, timeline, bid bond (10% of total bid price), and a performance bond (100% of contract value).
