The work consists of rehabilitating the roadway by removing and reconstructing the asphalt concrete pavement within the existing right of way using fiber reinforced rubberized asphalt concrete pavement; crack sealing; removal and reconstruction of ADA access ramps, driveway approaches, curb, curb and gutter, local depressions, and sidewalk; installation of a new pedestrian refuge island; replacement and adjustment of utility structures and pull-boxes; replacement of traffic detection devices, striping, signage, pavement markings, and all related work necessary for proper construction of the proposed improvements in accordance with the project plans and specifications. A 10% bid bond is required. The required license classifications are: Prime contractor - General Engineering (A), Class C-10 for traffic signal and street light subcontractors, Class C-34 or A for water work subcontractors. An electrical subcontractor performing APU Communication vault adjustment must be from the City of Anaheim Master Agreement Electrical Contractors Transmission and Distribution 2021-2026 List. DIR Registration is required for all prime and subcontractors. Bids will be evaluated on the Total Base Bid Proposal. The lowest responsive responsible Base Bid bidder will be selected. Work under the Alternative Bid may be authorized if within the City's available budget. The City reserves the right to reject all bids. All bids must comply with the "Invitation to Bidders" and "Instructions to Bidders". No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal or awarded a contract unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
