Sealed proposals will be received for the 2026 Sidewalk & Curbing Program, which consists of the replacement of a minimum of 1800 S.F. of 4-inch thick existing concrete sidewalk, a minimum of 150 S.F. of 6-inch thick existing concrete driveway aprons, and a minimum of 800 L.F. of existing deep-set concrete curb. Construction will take place within existing municipal rights-of-way adjoining the properties of program applicants. Project boundaries will include, but will not be limited to, portions of Owendale Avenue. The bidder is responsible for traffic control and restoration of disturbed areas, and expenses for these activities must be included in the unit cost of construction. Drawings, specifications, instructions to bidders, general conditions, forms of proposal, and forms of agreement are available electronically; interested vendors must register at pennbid.bonfirehub.com. All proposals must be submitted electronically through this site. The bidder shall be required to maintain a performance bond, labor & materials payment bond, public liability insurance, property damage insurance, and worker's compensation insurance in the specified amounts. Proposals must comply with Pennsylvania prevailing wage regulations. Bidders must include a Bid Bond from a Surety Company in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total proposal as a guarantee of entering into an agreement if selected. Proposals must remain valid for no less than sixty (60) days from the date of bid opening, and no bid may be withdrawn during this period without forfeiting the bid bond amount. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or waive any informality.
