Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Brentwood, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Sealed proposals are requested for the Dewalt Avenue Streetscape Enhancement Project. The primary work includes excavation of approximately 840 cubic yards of earth, placement of about 1500 square yards of asphalt pavement, installation of around 400 square yards of concrete sidewalk, approximately 500 linear feet of concrete curbing, about 700 linear feet of pavement base drainpipe, adjustment of existing manhole and inlet grades, painting about 600 linear feet of pavement markings, and installation of streetscape infrastructure that includes streetlamps, string lighting, associated electrical components, and tree pits. The work will take place on Dewalt Avenue between Brownsville Road and its terminus approximately 465 feet to the northwest in Brentwood, Pittsburgh, PA. The bidder is responsible for disposal of existing equipment, restoration of disturbed areas, and must include these expenses in the construction unit cost. The bidder is also required to provide traffic control for the duration of the project. All proposals must be submitted electronically. Prospective bidders must maintain required bonds and insurances as specified, comply with Pennsylvania prevailing wage regulations, submit a bid bond of ten percent of the total proposal, and ensure proposal validity for at least sixty days. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or parts thereof, and to waive any informality.
