Renovation of a detention facility in Saint Martinville, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Sealed bids are invited for replacing the existing roof at the St. Martinville Jail. The work includes, but is not limited to: bonds, mobilization/demobilization, removal of the existing bitumen roof and perlite insulation down to the existing concrete deck, installation of a new modified bituminous roof system, and other associated work as indicated in the plans and specifications. Question Deadline 05/15/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered Bids must be on a unit price basis; segregated bids will not be accepted. Only Contractors licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for Building Construction classification are eligible. Bids must be submitted on forms provided in the bidding documents, accompanied by bid security of at least five percent of the bidder's maximum bid price in the form of a certified check or bid bond. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. Complete printed sets of bidding documents can be obtained from Berard, Habetz and Associates, Inc. upon payment of a deposit. Electronic sets are also available at the engineer's office or online at www.centralbidding.com, with plan holders responsible for their own reproduction costs. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the project site. Bidding documents will not be issued later than 24 hours prior to the bid opening.
