This project includes General, HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical construction for Clarion University - Campus Systems Repairs. The estimated range for each contract is as follows: General $1,000,000 to $2,000,000; HVAC $3,000,000 to $4,000,000; Plumbing $500,000 to $600,000; Electrical $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. Liquidated damages will apply for delays: $750.00 per day for General, $2,000.00 per day for HVAC, $500.00 per day for Plumbing, and $750.00 per day for Electrical construction. There is no bid guaranty required for this project. Proposers must be registered with a current, active vendor number to view and download plans and specifications, and must create a user profile within e-Builder to view the bid package. Bids will only be accepted electronically through e-Builder. The project is subject to Small Diverse Business and Veteran Business Enterprise participation goals as follows: General Construction SDB = 19% and VBE = 3%; HVAC Construction SDB = 10% and VBE = 3%; Plumbing and Electrical Construction SDB = 10% and VBE = 3%. Bidders must comply with the Capital Programs Employment Verification Act by submitting the required form and must certify compliance with all applicable Pennsylvania state labor and workforce safety laws by submitting the Worker Protection and Investment Certification form. No project documents may be posted to any public social media or website platforms. WORK INCLUDED A. The Work of this Project consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following. Detailed requirements of the Work are described in the pertinent specification Sections and/or shown on the Drawings. B. General Construction (.1) Contract: 1. Campus View: Partition and door, ceiling and floor patch and repair. 2. Valley View: Partition and door, ceiling and floor patch and repair. 3. Marwick-Boyd: Patch and repair around replaced unit ventilators. Remediate asbestos containing materials. 4. Still Hall: Replacement of ceilings. 5. Marwick-Boyd, Still Hall, Carlson, Gemmel: Abatement scope. 5. Throughout - each point contractor is responsible for modifications/installation of equipment pads for any equipment installed under their scope. C. HVAC Construction (.2) Contract: 1. Student Recreation Center: New chiller and cooling tower 2. Marwick Boyd Hall: New chiller and cooling tower, new AHU, unit ventilators 3. Still Hall: New HVAC terminal units 4. Eagle Commons: New HVAC terminal units 5. Carlson Library: Rebuilt cooling tower 6. All buildings: New or modified DDC controls (proprietary system) 7. Throughout - each point contractor is responsible for modifications/installation of equipment pads for any equipment installed under their scope. D. Plumbing Construction (.3) Contract: 1. Gemmel Student Center: Localized hot water installation 2. Campus View Dormitory: Localized hot water installation 3. Valley View Dormitory: Localized hot water installation 4. Still Hall: Localized hot water installation and natural gas installation 5. Eagle Commons: Localized hot water installation 6. Domestic Water Heater replacement and related piping modifications. 7. Potable water piping modifications required to support replacement of Mechanical equipment. 8. Potable water pumping equipment and trim and related piping modifications. 9. Fire sprinkler protection system modifications as required by other work. 10. Natural gas piping installation. 11. Throughout - each point contractor is responsible for modifications/installation of equipment pads for any equipment installed under their scope. E. Electrical Construction (.4) Contract: 1. Primary Electrical Switches: Replacement of five (5) primary medium-voltage switches and related appurtenances. 2. Electrical work necessary to support new or replaced Mechanical Equipment. 3. Electrical work necessary to support new or replaced Plumbing Equipment. 4. Any and all other 120v wiring5. Fire alarm system modifications as required by drawings and specifications. 6. Throughout - each point contractor is responsible for modifications/installation of equipment pads for any equipment installed under their scope.A. The Specifications for the work of the separate prime Contracts are bound in one volume. Technical provisions which apply specifically to each prime Contract are included in the Divisions listed below. B. General Construction (.1) Contract: Divisions 01 through 14 and Divisions 31, 32 and applicable Sections of Division 33 C. HVAC Construction (.2) Contract: Divisions 01, 23 and applicable Sections of Divisions 02, 03, 05, 07, 09, 25, 31, 32 and 33. D. Plumbing Construction (.3) Contract: Divisions 01, 21, 22 and applicable Sections of Divisions 02, 03, 05, 07, 09, 25, 31, 32 and 33. E. Electrical Construction (.4) Contract: Divisions 01, 25, 26 and applicable Sections of 02, 03, 07, 08, 31, 32, and 33.
