Description

Site work, paving and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Clarion, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

The project involves a jacket and underpinning repair to the far abutment, repointing and filling voids in both abutments, raising the parapets, re-grading the approach roadways, installing current standard guide rail, installation of rock protection along the near abutment, and painting the existing steel beams. Bidders are required to obtain the construction drawings and project manual from the specified website and to register to access these documents. The cost of printing hard copies of the bidding documents will be borne by the interested party or organization. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond payable to the owner for ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. Bidders must include a statement on whether they have previously performed work subject to the President's Executive Order No. 11246 "qual Opportunity Clause." The bid is for a public works contract and is subject to the Public Works Employment Verification Act, which is incorporated by reference. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, or to limit the scope of work. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the bid opening date. Contractors must be PennDOT prequalified and comply with all State and Federal laws prohibiting discrimination in hiring and employment opportunities. Prevailing wage rates are required for this contract.
