Electronic bids will be received for furnishing all necessary labor, supervision, material, equipment, insurances, etc. to perform the 2026 Gas Cathodic Protection Survey. The survey includes taking pipe to soil (P/S) readings at approximately 156 test station and vent pipe locations for steel gas mains, approximately 120 P/S readings at short section steel gas valve locations, and approximately 1,600 P/S readings at short section steel gas service addresses. It will be necessary for the contractor to enter customers' homes to gain access to the gas meter location for some readings, and the contractor must coordinate access with customers. All contractors and/or subcontractors whose employees perform work on the City of Hamilton gas pipeline system must have on file or submit with the bid proposal a copy of the contractor's Operators Qualification Plan and a current P.H.M.S.A. Pipeline Drug & Alcohol Plan. Bids must be submitted electronically through Bid Express and endorsed electronically by the bidder. No bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty days after the bid opening. The owner reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and conduct investigations to determine the lowest and best responsible bidder.
