The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington (RACW) is seeking bids for the Washington Demolition Project No. CD 25-17. Bid documents are available electronically at no charge or as hard copies for a fee. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, in accordance with contract document requirements. SBE, MBE, WBE, and Section 3 businesses are encouraged to bid. Standard contract provisions of the U.S. Department of HUD Act and the U.S. Department of Labor for CDBG apply, including Federal Prevailing Wage Rates, Civil Rights, EO 11246, EO 11625, Affirmative Action, Section 3 Requirements, Federal Public Works, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and all Standard Provisions of CDBG Programs. Contractors must ensure non-discrimination in employment practices. The purpose of Section 3 is to ensure employment and economic opportunities are directed to low and very low-income persons, especially HUD assistance recipients. The RACW may reject any or all bids or waive informalities. Bids may be held for up to forty-five (45) days for review before awarding a contract. Contractors must be able to begin work within twenty (20) days of contract execution and complete work within one hundred (100) consecutive calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. Question Deadline 05/05/2026- No oral interpretation will be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of the Contract Documents or any part thereof. Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing to the Local Public Agency. Any inquiry received seven or more days prior to the date fixed for opening of Bids will be given consideration.
