Site work and paving for a road / highway in Washington, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The work will consist of a Base Bid and Alternate Bids: Base Bid includes: Milling 1.5" depth of approximately 4,500 square yards; Base Repair 600 square yards; installing approximately 410 tons of 1-" depth Wearing Course (9.5 mm, PG 64-22, 3.0 to 30.0 million ESAL's SRL-M); installing two new 2' x 2' yard drain precast inlets; 50 linear feet of 10" perforated SLCPP; 50 linear feet of 12" SLCPP; R-4 Rip-Rap; tack coat; Wedge Curb; turf restoration; keyways; and traffic control measures. Alternate Bids include: Removal and replacement of 2' x 4' standard inlets; Removal of existing 36" diameter CMP; Dredging; 36" SLCPP; 36" Dual Concrete Headwall; R-4 Rip-Rap Protection; Trench Restoration of 19mm Binder Course and 9.5 mm Wearing Course both PG 64-22, 3.0 to 30.0 million ESAL's SRL-M mix; Turf Restoration; New Type M Inlets and 15" SLCPP. All work for this project must be performed between June 15th, 2026 to August 15th, 2026. Each bidder shall certify they are a prequalified contractor by PennDOT and attach their certificate to the outside of each proposal envelope. The contractor shall inspect and review each roadway or project area prior to submitting a bid. Itemized quantities and location of work for individual roadways including both the Base and Alternate Bids are provided in the bid documents. The Asphalt Price Index, in accordance with PennDOT Form 408, is applicable and in effect. All contractors must adhere to Act 127 of 2012 (Public Works Employment Verification Act). Contractors are subject to provisions of the PA Prevailing Wage Act. Each proposal shall be accompanied with a certified check or Bidder's Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal, in favor of North Franklin Township. North Franklin Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in bids received. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening. Question Deadline 04/05/2026 All requests for interpretation must be received by the Engineer at least five (5) days before the date set for bid opening. submit a written request to the Engineer for an interpretation or correction thereof.
