Description

Demolition and renovation of an educational facility in Silverdale, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The project comprises the replacement of water-source heat pumps at Klahowya Secondary School. The scope includes the removal of 62 water-source heat pump units. Most of these units will be replaced in kind. The breakdown of replacements includes: 42 heat pumps in the Mechanical Attic; 11 heat pumps in the Mechanical Mezzanine (including replacement of split systems with a new outdoor VRF system); eight suspended horizontal units in the Administrative Offices; and one back-of-house unit. The project also includes complete replacement of ACT ceilings in the Administrative Offices and reinstallation of ceiling mounted devices. Bid Alternate #1 involves relocating two existing transformers in the Mechanical Attic to more accessible locations. Bid Alternate #2 involves replacing two existing transformers in the Mechanical Attic and relocating them to more accessible locations.
