Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in New Berlin, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Furnish and place 1,785 SY of 4-inch milling, 312 tons of 25 MM base course, and 161 tons of 9.5 MM fine grade wearing course. A bituminous escalator clause is included. All work and material must meet current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications Form 408 and its Supplements. Proposals must be on the forms provided by the municipality. The bid must include a certified check or bid bond for 10% of the contract amount. The lowest responsible bidder must provide a certified check or performance bond for 100% of the contract amount payable to the municipality. The municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Milling 4 1/2"Depth (Municipality to Maintain) Contractor to mill existing pavement to tabulated dimensions. Millings to be retained by municipality. Contractor to follow Pub 408 Section 491. Contact the municipality for milling storage location. Contractor should verify utility locations as well as any buried sidewalk or curb. Asphalt 25 MM Base Course, PG 64S-22, <0.3 Million ESALS, SRL-L 3"Depth Contractor to furnish and place base course as tabulated. Tack coat and the sealing of joints is incidental to this item of work. Contractor to follow Pub 408 Section 313. Asphalt Wearing Course 9.5 MM Fine Grade, PG 64S-22, <0.3 Million ESALS, SRL-L 1 1/2" Depth Contractor to furnish and place wearing course as tabulated. Tack coat is incidental to paving operation. Contractor to follow Pub 408 Section 410.
