Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Sealed bids are requested for a single contract covering concrete curb and gutter construction, sidewalk construction, milling and asphalt pavement construction, and the replacement of water, sewer, and storm utilities. The approximate quantities for the project include: 5,300 lineal feet of 24-inch concrete curb and gutter, 13,000 square feet of concrete sidewalk, 7,300 square yards of milling hot-mix asphalt pavement, 3,260 tons of asphalt pavement construction, 460 lineal feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer, and 250 lineal feet of 8- and 10-inch water main. Quantities are subject to change prior to document distribution. Bidders must be pre-qualified with the City of Rhinelander within the last year or be pre-qualified for this work five days prior to the bid deadline. Each bid must include a bid bond or security in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid. Bidders must have experience in municipal street construction. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities. Question Deadline 05/14/2026 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered Anyone having an interest may attend and be heard. Interested par-ties who are unable to attend may send written comments to the under-signed by 10:00 am. on May 11, 2026.
