Renovation of a fire / police facility in Marlin, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The project will include updating items in two of the Fire Department buildings to provide safe and clean facilities to conduct business, both internally and to serve the public. The work consists of repairing damaged flooring, repairing or restoring existing flooring, removing and replacing damaged existing garage doors, repairing existing serviceable garage doors, and installing electric garage door openers. Doc Note: Both fees represent reproduction costs and are non refundable. We reserve the right to process checks electronically by transmitting the amount of the check, routing number, account number, and check serial number to your financial institution. General Description: The fire station that will receive the interior and exterior improvements (e.g., floor improvements, garage door repairs, etc.) is located at 911 Live Oak Street, Marlin, TX 76661. The other fire station that will receive interior and exterior improvements (e.g., garage door replacement, concrete floor repair & replacement, etc.) is located at 101 Fortune Street, Marlin, TX 76661 Fire Station 1 (101 Fortune Street): - Remove & dispose of three (3) existing garage doors. - Install three (3) electric-powered garage doors (with option to open manually). - Demolish & replace damaged garage floor sections (concrete) (appx 1,200 sq. ft). - Demolish & replace damaged front apron sections (concrete) (appx. 600 sq. ft).Fire Station 2 (911 Live Oak): - Install automatic openers on two (2) existing garage doors (with option to open manually). - Repair & service three (3) existing garage doors (e.g., replace damaged rollers, lubricate, reseal). - Remove & dispose of one interior door & frame (from garage leading into living/office area). - Install one (1) interior door & frame (from garage leading into living/office area). - Remove & dispose of all remaining floor tiles in kitchen & hallway (appx. 300 sq ft). - Remove hardened carpet glue in day room/dining area (appx. 400 sq ft). - Remove damaged floor paint in bunk room (appx. 400 sq. ft). - Grind, clean & prep interior floor concrete for epoxy paint/sealant (appx. 1,300 sq. ft). - Apply high strength/durable epoxy paint/sealant to interior concrete floor (appx. 1,300 sq. ft).
