Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project consists of the installation of 6-inch Polyvinyl Chloride water line, connections, gate valves, tie-ins, and installing fire hydrant assemblies. Work also includes installing concrete pavement, curbs, gutters, underdrains, repairing driveways, and storm catch basins and related appurtenances. Bids are requested for the contract Walton Acres Phase 2 – Waterline and Streetscape Improvements. The work is to be substantially completed within 150 calendar days after the contract times commence, with final completion and readiness for payment within 180 days. Liquidated damages are $1,500.00 per day. Bids must be submitted using a one-envelope system with the required information on the front. Bids are to be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the City of Toronto in an amount equal to five percent of the base bid. The procurement encourages participation of small businesses in rural areas, requires compliance with Disadvantaged Business Enterprises and Affirmative Action requirements, American Iron and Steel requirements, and Ohio Prevailing Wage law. Bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened. The City of Toronto reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
