The Town of Walnut Cove is requesting bids for the construction of the Plant Street Elevated Water Storage Tank Altitude Valve Vault (SRP-D-ARP-0193). The work includes installation of an 8-inch altitude valve and valve vault at the site of the Plant Street Elevated Storage Tank in Walnut Cove, NC. The scope includes: field verifying the horizontal and vertical locations of all above-ground and underground utilities; connecting to the existing water main at the Plant Street elevated storage tank site with two full-body stainless steel tapping sleeves, valve assemblies, and valve boxes; installing a new restrained-joint ductile iron water line and fittings; installing concrete thrust blocking; installing the altitude valve and all appurtenances; installing a precast concrete valve vault and all vault appurtenances and stone bedding; installing a gravel construction entrance and permanent driveway. All testing, including chlorination testing, sampling, and water line pressure testing, is incidental to the work. Other incidental work may include asphalt roadway repairs and all erosion control devices as indicated on the plans. Registration with Duncan Parnell is required to obtain the bid documents and be added to the official Plan Holder's List.
