Renovation of a detention facility in Oxford, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Demolition and replacement of the existing Education chair lift at FCI Oxford, which is no longer operable and has exceeded its service life. The work includes disconnecting and protecting existing electrical service, removing the current lift assembly, and furnishing and installing a new ADA-compliant inclined platform lift, Basis of Design: Garaventa GSL Artira or approved equal. The new lift system will include a complete platform assembly, drive and guide-rail components, obstruction-sensing devices, passenger restraining arms, retractable boarding ramps, kick plates, safety lighting, hand grips, low-voltage controls, emergency stop features, and keyless operation. The contractor will also provide a new drive cabinet, integrated disconnect, battery backup system, call stations at each landing, and all associated programming, testing, and adjustments. All work must comply with ASME A18.1, ADA-ABA requirements, NFPA, NEC, and all applicable Federal, State, and local codes. Installation shall be performed by manufacturer-certified technicians. The contractor shall provide all required submittals, safety plans, quality control documentation, testing, and closeout materials. Offerors must include a specification sheet and any submittal information about the products offered in their quotation. Faxed and hand-delivered quotes will not be accepted.
