Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Sealed proposals are requested for: (1) 11,206 square yards of milling of bituminous pavement; (2) 928 tons of Superpave binder course, 19.0mm, in place; and (3) 1,326 tons of Superpave wearing course, 9.5mm, in place. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act applies only if the bid exceeds $100,000.00. Liquidated damages are set at $975.00 per calendar day. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided by the municipality. A certified check or bid bond equal to 10% of the bid must accompany proposals for third class cities, with requirements for other municipalities at the municipality's discretion. A performance bond or certified check for 100% of the contract amount is required within 20 days after contract award. The municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
