Sealed proposals are requested for renovations to Opp High School for the Opp City Board of Education in Opp, Alabama. All general contractors bidding on this project are required to visit the site and examine existing conditions before submitting their proposal and must arrange the visit with the principal at the school. All bidders must have general liability and workman's compensation insurance and must bid excluding taxes. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the Architect or copies thereof. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors as deemed in the Owner's best interest. A certified check or bid bond payable to Opp City Schools in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, and not more than $10,000.00, must accompany the sealed proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds are required at contract signing. Bidders exceeding the applicable state-licensed amount must be licensed under Alabama law and show evidence of the license on the exterior of the sealed envelope. Only documents published through the specified procedures are endorsed by the Architect. Requests for printed sets of documents must be submitted as outlined. All RFIs and RFAs regarding the bid documents must be submitted via the forms in the project manual and sent by email; telephone or fax inquiries will not be accepted. The contractor is responsible for the supervision of all work. For information on completion time, refer to the Scope of Work in the Project Manual.
