If there are any questions regarding the following specifications, please contact the Procurement Office at online General Requirements - Certification/Training - Insurance Required - License Required - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % Remove and Replace HVAC System including - boilers, air handlers, air conditioning, tankless hot water tank and associated systems for Hanger #5 The County reserves the right to negotiate the final terms and conditions of any contract to be executed, including but limited to the fees. In the event that the County and a Respondent are unable to agree upon all contract provisions, the County reserves the right to cease negotiations, and move on to the select another Respondent, or to reject all proposals. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, reserves all rights granted to it by law, reserves the right to waive formalities and to take such action, as it deems necessary in the best interest of the County of Muskegon. SCOPE OF WORK The Muskegon County Airport is soliciting bids for a turnkey replacement of the existing HVAC infrastructure serving Hangar 5. This project is intended to fully replace aging mechanical systems that are at or beyond their expected service life, with much of the infrastructure dating back to the original 1995 construction of the facility. This is a full system replacement project and not a repair or partial rehabilitation effort. The selected contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, supervision, startup, testing and disposal necessary to complete the project, including but not limited to the following: Base Scope o Removal and proper disposal of all existing HVAC equipment being replaced o Furnishing and installation of a new high-efficiency commercial-grade boiler system o Furnishing and installation of dual air handling units with integrated air conditioning coils o Furnishing and installation of appropriately sized condensers o Furnishing and installation of a commercial-grade high-efficiency tankless water heater system o Associated piping, controls, electrical connections, thermostats, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system balancing o Complete system startup and verification of proper operationBoiler & System Standardization Requirements To maintain operational consistency, parts commonality, and service redundancy with the existing HVAC infrastructure located in the passenger terminal, the Airport desires equipment compatibility where practical. It is preferred that Bidders provide high-efficiency Viessmann commercial condensing boiler system consistent with the boiler systems currently utilized elsewhere on the airport campus.
