Site work and paving for a road / highway in Spencer, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project consists of construction maintenance of various streets in the Town of Spencer during the period July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028. The work includes Bituminous Concrete Type I and Road Reconstruction. All materials and services must conform to Massachusetts Department of Public Works Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges. Bids should reflect Massachusetts prevailing wage rates. All bids must conform to the specifications of the Office of Utilities and Facilities. Bid deposit of 5% of bid value, tax attestation, performance bond, labor and materials bond in the amount of 100% of the work cost, and certificates of insurance are required. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities as deemed in the public interest. Pre-qualification requirements: MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as (Pavement – Surfacing) for the project, with an estimated value of $2,053,120.00, is required. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Massachusetts Highway Department in order to obtain bid packages.
