This Public Works Contract consists of the construction of the Alcatraz Avenue and Santa Rosa Avenue Pipeline Replacement Project located in Half Moon Bay. The work includes, without limitation: installation of approximately 660 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron pipe by open trench, as shown on the contract drawings; installation of water service lines, meters, and reconnection of water services; installation of two blow-off assemblies; installation of valves and other appurtenances; abandonment of existing water facilities; connection of the new water mains to the existing 10-inch mains; and surface restoration. All bids must be on the prescribed forms and enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Board of Directors of the Coastside County Water District and marked on the outside with the project information. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or a corporate surety bond on the provided form in an amount not less than 10 percent of the bid. The bidder, if awarded the contract, must promptly secure the required insurance, execute the contract, and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations at the time of bid. Bidders shall possess a valid California Contractor’s “A” License at the time of contract award, must have been in business under the current name for at least two years, have a minimum of five years relevant work experience, and have completed at least three similar public agency projects in the past five years. The District reserves the right to waive irregularities and to award to the lowest responsible bidder or to reject all bids. This is a Public Works Contract subject to prevailing wage requirements and other applicable regulations.
