Sealed bids are requested for the proposed renovation to the Brick Campus of the Ocean County Vocational Technical School, for stand-by generator and electrical upgrades. All bidders must submit two copies: one original, one paper copy of all documents, and one electronic copy on a USB flash drive within 24 hours if not included in the sealed envelope. Bidders must comply with Affirmative Action, Prevailing Wage Act, Public Schools Contract Law, and possess a valid Public Works Contractor's Registration Certificate at the time bids are received. Bidders must be qualified by the Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction if work exceeds $20,000 and must submit a Prequalification Affidavit, Notice of Classification, Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts Form, and an Affidavit regarding bidder qualification information. Bid security of 10% of the total bid (not exceeding $20,000 for bids over $100,000) is required. The project is subject to a Project Labor Agreement. The total price of the construction bid must remain firm for sixty days, with the possibility of extension for another sixty days if agreed upon. There are requirements for requests for information and addenda, and the Board reserves rights regarding quantities and acceptance of bids. Liquidated damages are set at $500 per day after the contract completion date.
