The work consists of the supply and installation of a metal roofing system at 85 Spring Street on the Wyatt Museum, including the removal of the existing cedar shingles prior to the installation of the new metal roofing. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment needed for a complete, turnkey, weathertight solution. The City will not provide any materials. The scope includes removal and disposal of the existing roofing and underlayment, installation of all specified roofing components, removal and disposal of construction materials daily, and providing an hourly rate for additional work if required. The contractor must also provide all necessary safety equipment, proof of liability insurance, a clearance letter from the Workers Compensation Board, and a one-year warranty on workmanship, in addition to a minimum 50-year warranty on all materials and labor associated with the roofing system. Work must comply with all applicable manufacturers instructions, occupational health and safety regulations, and City safety policies. The contractor must maintain site conditions suitable for roof installation and keep the site weather-tight during the entirety of the project. Prior site inspection by the bidder is required to verify dimensions and conditions. Any damage or deterioration found on the existing roof sheathing must be reported prior to installation of new products.
