Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The project consists of the construction of a 150-foot, 3-span Continuous Concrete Slab Bridge and related incidental work, which includes a temporary shoofly road, culvert installation, grading, and other related work. The project site is located on Bay Road between 18th Street and 24th Street in Cass County, Nebraska. The work requires all labor, materials, transportation, and equipment necessary for completion. Bidders must submit their Bid Proposals on the forms provided with the bid documents. Each bid must be accompanied by an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Cass County, Nebraska, equal to five percent of the bid amount. Each bidder must provide proposed Start and End of Construction dates. The desired completion date with the Contractor allowed 220 calendar days for completion after work begins, subject to the specified completion date and possible extensions for weather. No tree removal is allowed between April 1st and October 31st. Within ten days of the contract award, the successful bidder must furnish a surety bond in at least the full amount of the contract. The Cass County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive irregularities. The award will follow the County Purchasing Act's competitive bidding rules.
